                                                         Day 1
It is with great anticipation that we are introducing to you the Peace Plus Program. It doesn't matter how bad your symptoms of anxiety or depression are, they can all be resolved when you begin responding to your life's challenges in the proper way.

However, we know that as you aim yourself at resolving past conflicts in your life, that 'life' is going to present road blocks in your path to prevent you from helping yourself get well. That is why we ask to speak with you everyday so that we can help you recognize when these road blocks are coming into play, and then help you to maneuver around them so that you can maintain a steady working of the program each day.

                                          Getting The Necessary Tools

Accountability Sheet
May we also suggest you keep track of your progress using the Accountability Sheet. By no means is happiness wrapped up in do's and don't's, however, during recovery, purposely continually doing positive things, will make a difference as to how soon you recover. That is why we've put together this list of suggested activities. It is in chart form so it's easy to keep track of. Here is the link to it: accountabilitysheet

Daily Journal
Another helpful tool to keep a daily journal to list all of the victories you score in your day-to-day life. After a week go back and praise God for all the good things you were able to accomplish. Then on Monday, do it all over again! So obtain a journal.

Daily Bible Reading
May we suggest you begin a new daily habit of reading God's Word. We recommend you begin a habit of meeting with God every day at the same time for 30 minutes or so. And that you read a Bible (an easy to understand version, the NIV (New International Version), or the New King James Version is good. A good place to start reading the Bible is in the New Testament beginning with the Gospels.

Friendships
Another factor in obtaining a speedy recovery is the area of friendships. Quite often depression is caused by a lack of meaningful relationships in our lives. Not only can a lack of friendships cause depression but a lack of trustworthy mentors in our lives can cause us to stumble needlessly in life. Mentors are people who we believe are strong in their own identity, wise in the area of life's challenges and caring in their willingness to sit and listen to you explain your problems. May we suggest you find 1 or 2 people who can mentor you when life gets difficult. The Bible says that "in a multitude of counselors there is safety."* A good place to find new friends and mentors is in a good local church. If you wish, you can contact us and we will find a good local church.

Once you've gathered your 'tools', send us an email, and we can proceed to Day 2.
